Riverside & Great Northern Railway

This place is amazing. Good not-for-profit place.nThey do a great job with the conductor and engineer in costume. A very fun talk about the place at a station stop during the ride.nThe gift shop is surprisingly well stocked with great prices. Found some Thomas the Tank Engine play sets which we hadn't been able to find for awhile.nIf you or your kids like trains, this is a must-stop destination while you're in the Dells.

Grandson (2+) really enjoyed the Pumpkin Trail Ride. Stoped at the pumpkin patch for pictures and the kids all got a free pumpkin to take home. People were very nice and prices were reasonable for the Dells. He also enjoyed the playground. Will come back for the summer ride.

Great place train was awesome

Great for kids. Fun train ride through the woods. All nonprofit and volunteer based. Very friendly staff and nice grounds. Lots of fun activities for the kiddos.

This is definitely a hidden gem. I can't wait until they get enough funding to redo the tracks that got washed out by all the water. It would be a longer ride then. It was also great because this was ran by all volunteers. So these people really wanted to be there! The history was really great as well. And we all fell in love with porter the dog who wanted to ride with us!
