Chula Vista Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

We stayed in November 2020. It was wonderful. The customer service that we received from everyone and the restaurants was phenomenal. It was our first time there with my family and extended family. We have always heard positive comments about Chula and I can now see why. The room was awesome. We will definitely be back!

Rooms are a little outdated. I liked the shower and grounds are kept up nicely.

Was highly disappointed. We have been been going to Chula Vista for about 5 years. We went up July 3 for a couple of days. We checked in on July 3 around 3:00 did not get into the room until after 7:00. My husband called customer service and was hung up on when he was asking the status of the room. We got to the hotel after going out to eat since we had already checked in to see a line of approximately 50 to 60 people. We asked for a manager, and the security guard stated that they were busy. He asked what the problem was and my husband had talk to him about the room delay. The security guard had let us know that they were overbooked and under staffed. To fix the problem we were told that we would get a $25 dollar voucher for every hour we were out of our room and that someone from customer service would call us. We were also told that the outdoor pools were going to be open and the did not happen. We also had issues with the hot water in the hot tub. When coming into the hotel we were told we could not take the elevator because maintenance was working on it, but when we got to the elevator there were cleaning people using the elevator. I called customer service on Monday when I got back regarding the vouchers that I did not hear anything on and the person I spoke with stated they were not going to make good on the vouchers. So I will make good on my statement when I say I will not refer anyone to this resort. I was in the elevator with another guest and he made a comment that this place is going downhill, I have to agree.

We ate at Kilborn City Grill we were having a great time! Our food was running a little behind, which we didn't think it was, but they gave us a free round of drinks!! Awesome!! Then the manager came out he told us he was sorry we had to wait and our whole meal was covered!! And on top of that he made the kids strawberry banana smoothies!! The food was great service was great we were in there for an hour and a half and they felt we had waited to long!! We will definitely be back when we are here in 3 weeks!!

Had a fantastic time here with the family. The resort itself is beautiful and clean and the staff is professional and welcoming. Our room was super clean and we had a gorgeous view of the river from our private balcony. We're already planning our trip for next summer! Thank you Chula Vista for a memorable family vacation.
