I've wondered for 40 years what the fish ladder was all about. Understanding that you're not guaranteed to see fish, it was disappointing not to. Certainly don't plan this as an afternoon activity as it only took about 20 minutes to walk through.

I work at the Fish Ladder, and although the fish may not always be running, the Nature Museum makes sure to keep other exhibits refreshed and interesting. FYI, we also do free programming Fri. & Sat. @ 10am, complete with a craft! I'm so glad to have the resources to do that here.

Good science. No fish as the river dam is closed and river water low. Will try when I see the dam is open.

Neat quick trip, spent around 20-25 minutes here. We did see 2 fish when were in the inside observation area. Some interesting info on the fish ladder, water power, and the Connecticut River in general.
