This is a huge ski resort. Well managed. We stayed the lodge, and my kid took snowboarding lessons. Lodge was clean and spacious. Bit expensive, though. The instructors were very skillful and helpful.

Ski school for ages 3- 12. Lunch, snacks and skiing. Good learning terrain and the instructors are fun oriented.

Very enjoyable couple of days. We went in the middle of the week in the summer, for Pump House. It was worth the drive and will go back in the winter. Staff were very friendly, and the life guards were definitely paying attention. Beds were comfy and shower was great. Very clean everywhere. (I was able to relax and not worry constantly about catching some illness.) The compound is huge and rock climbing was definitely a huge hit.nThe only thing is... the food sucks. Went to Foundry for breakfast and I swear, I haven’t had canned corn beef hash for years. Dinner at Foundry was equally disappointing. I thought other reviewers were being snobby. No, just be prepared... it’s bad. But in a kids museum or theme park way I guess. Pizza was good but I mean, it’s pizza. I was so hungry, however, I did finish all my food. (So I guess it wasn’t inedible?) We plan to bring our food and coffee next time. The room came with a mini fridge and a small stove. To me, the food situation disqualifies Jay Peak as a ‘resort.’

My child loves going to ski school at Jay Peak. Absolutely no guilt for this mom. They could be a bit more organized for drop off and pick up, though. And my daughter loves she can get hot cocoa there...but it wasn't working on our last trip (President's weekend).
