Great campground and great place foe social distancing. Right on the lake!!!!! Awesome views

Minus 1 star for poor wifi, 1 star for smell/stench in beach area, and another due to the owner.nnWe were attracted by the pool and lake access and wifi was acceptable when we arrived but things go steadily worse for our stay until we eventually had to leave and will not return. As a seasoned RV'er, I like rules and strict enforcement as it keeps the riffraff out and/or under control but I'm a white collar family guy that was pushed to the limit of tolerance by the owner. For any family wanting to stay here, there's more below. For others, you'll prob enjoy your stay.nnGenerally speaking, if the owner leaves you alone, and you can do your camping business in peace, this resort gets a solid pass. You'll be fine and enjoy your stay. But my kids were told off for many things including riding their bikes while the campground lights were on (at 7pm in daylight where sunset is 8:30pm), responsibly collecting sticks for their camp fire, playing with toys in the pool, cleaning the pool from bugs, and for playing tag around the RV! My kids like to have fun but they have manners and are not terrors. The owner is on top of you the minute you do something he doesn't like (rules or no rules). I could go on...nnThe other negative reviews are 100% accurate about owners demeanor. Equally, I can also see how the place gets good reviews when he leaves you alone.nnI'll be fair and list main pros and cons:n1. Nice large swimming pool with slide and diving board. Cleaned in the morning and checked ph and cl in evenings. However, the pool collects hundreds of bugs by midday and it makes your swim awful. I can tolerate some bugs in a pool but this was enough to make you not want to go in. I cleaned the pool on management's behalf to clear it of bugs and I was thanked by the customers but not by management. In fact, owner removed the pool skimmer the next day and for the rest of our stay so I couldn't clean it. This was the first sign something's wrong with the guy.n2. Wifi has max limits for first connected priority devices and quickly drops to inadequate

We loved our 2 stays at ARVR! Our first trip was mid-August. After that week, we made arrangements to return in September for 2 weeks. On our last day, we bought a unit! Our experience with management couldn’t have been better. Not sure why reviewers thought otherwise. It’s beautifully kept, quiet, and a great location for all kinds of activities. We’ve taken our travel trailer all over the Northeast, and this is by far the best campground we’ve stayed at.

Pretty nice camp ground and good area for a nice weekend. Be very careful. You must drive exactly at or less than 5 MPH or else stand by for the world to end. Laundry is a rip off. The owner and his staff/family are completely rude. Didn't have a single decent interaction with him the whole time. The owner was absolutely disrespectful to my wife on several instances.

Nice RV park and it's right on the lake. Staff was very pleasant when we visited. Be careful when you go, it's very important that you drive the speed limit.
