Telesis Preparatory Academy

I went to this school for a straight 6 years before I moved to California, and they were the best 6 years of school I've ever been in. The teachers are amazing and very helpful and it's not hard to make friends. I'm hoping the school is just as happy and helpful as when Ieft it; and if any of you still go there; please tell me how it is!

I heard the school use to be better.... however this last year for my kids was an absolute nightmare. They got a new principal and although she is nice, she doesn't really care what the kids do, so the kids act out, there is so much horrible language, constant drug use, and kids just playing around in the class on phones and doing whatever they please because she never took care of any of the problems. In turn the poor teachers get frustrated and yell more at the kids. My daughter witnessed One teacher yelled at a student and flip that student off... My children daily came home upset and depressed after school. On a good note the front desk was AMAZING kind and helpful so was the counselor, she really cared for the kids there. She was so good to my kids and such a good person!! And a couple of the teachers were really good as well. Unfortunately the majority were not good. The school couldn't seem to keep teachers and would get a new one every week, my youngest was in kindergarten at the time and was emotionally so upset because of his teacher daily, constantly putting him in time out, but but never coming to me to talk about any problems, My son has an IEP and has worked with many teachers before this school and I have never had any teacher treat him so badly... she was horrible at doing her job. And he actually digressed after going to school there. My oldest was in 9th grade and we had some issues with a teacher and my husband and I both reached out to the principal, she never responded to a single email we sent her. Hopefully the school makes some changes for the better. And makes it a good school again.

I am thankful that my family found Telesis. We moved here from the Midwest and enrolled our kids without seeing the school. It is the best choice we could've made. The teachers are terrific and any time I have needed to resolve something, it has been handled professionally and timely. The office staff is also fantastic. I love that I am able to volunteer at the Kindergarten level and to get to know all the other children and sometimes their parents. The small class sizes are a plus. All of my children will finish up through High School here.

Great teachers Amazing Place

I'm a student at Telesis and the school has its faults but it's not great school that really tries to prepare you for the future. The teachers are great and the small classes are even greater cause it enables the teachers to connect with the students.
