Hands down, then best hair cut I’ve ever gotten. Ash+ Gold is the best- Women owned, queer inclusive, professional and skilled folks. And a super beautiful space with the biggest indoor plant in the world!
Cristine is amazing! I had straight and long hair on my first appointment with Cristine. I mentioned getting it cut shorter, but wasn't sure. She spent time with me discussing how I like to wear my hear. (exercise, professional, etc.) I walked out with SHORT hair. This was in February 2020. Enter Covid AND the fact that I'm in NY - I wasn't able to get an appointment with her until July. I loved my hair the entire time. It grew out amazing and I was still able to style it... and by July, I could get it in a pony tail again. LOL. I'm in love my hair stylist! She's the best!
Ash & Gold is such a beautiful space filled with artists who do their best to provide valuable services and who are present with clientele. The space is so open and clean with gorgeous details. The fresh flowers and the plants are an amazing bonus! Caroline the salon owner has such a big heart and is truly there for the community and connection. Love this place!
After ten years with the same hairdresser I found myself in need of someone new & that was not easy for me. But after walking into the calming & welcoming environment that is Ash & Gold, I quickly felt like I was in good hands. Caroline is very talented & has done a fantastic job taking care of my long, thick hair. She has been great at offering styling & coloring advice during times of indecision & I trust her suggestions completely. During this difficult time of social distancing Caroline has been going above & beyond to stay connected to her clients & offer as much support as is safely possible. If you are on the fence about trying somewhere new, go for it when they reopen. You won’t be disappointed.
Far and away the best salon experience of my life. I spent years looking for a place that would make me feel welcome, heard, relaxed, and yeah, stunning. I cannot say enough good things about the stylists at ASH + GOLD. Kaila & Caroline have both given me PHENOMENAL haircuts. Absolutely worth it!
