Really neat location. Easy or hard to find, depending how you get here. The slope and dense trees mean you'll be right next to the marker and not realize it. Take GPS with you. If you're lucky, find the geocache near the marker.

This is a really secluded rock on the side of a mountain in this area. We started at Montgomery street on the Massachusetts side after asking permission to park at someone's house. There is no parking for this marker and there is no specific trail you can follow that goes right up to it. A lot of hiking was done by simply following the marker with my phone. It took about 1-2 hours to get up to it (had to take a lot of breaks, really high sloped climb) but was definitely worth it when we got to the marker.nA good landmark for finding the stone was a fallen tree that was leaning between two trees. It blocks the trail and points towards the marker.nI took a few pictures but they all show basically the same thing; this place is really secluded and doesn't offer much of a view. I only saw one other person here from Connecticut side. To be able to physically touch the marker after such a long hike was well worth it in the end! Just bring lots of water and repellent!
