Beautiful trail with fall leaves on the ground, but! we did get lost! We went from the trail entrance near Denecker Chev. and ended up at the Battel entrance on Seminary Rd. On the way back we went left and hit a dead end, went the other way and ended up walking thru Battel Townhouses and made our way back to the car thru Buttolph Acres. Pay attention!

Battel Woods is a park in Middlebury, Vermont with a nature trail which is part of the Trail Around Middlebury. You can enjoy the trail by hiking, mountain biking or bird watching. Enjoy the foliage in the autumn. Go snow shoeing or cross country skiing in the winter when there's enough snow. You will sometimes see wildlife along the nature trail. This park is conserved and maintained by volunteers from the Middlebury Area Land Trust.
