Basin Harbor

My stay at Basin Harbor was nice overall. All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautiful. I will say though that I booked what I thought was a PRIVATE cabin on the lake. The word private was literally used on the Basin Harbor website to describe the rental. I asked the concierge to inform me as to which cabin I will have as I saw the map online and was curious. She said she could not tell me. I’m still wondering why that was. When I arrived at 10pm to Basin Harbor I was given the name of the cabin and upon driving up to it I realized it was a tiny cabin that had another tenant whom I would be sharing my “private” patio with. Also it was a little ways off the water. I was extremely disappointed as I was knowingly mislead. Dear Basin Harbor, please tell your guests you have a few cabins that are shared and not directly on the water. Please conduct honest and open business. Thank you. Also the sushi was amazing but you certainly pay the price for it. Check the bill for sushi because tip is automatically charged. We didn’t realize until after and tipped twice.

Great resort on beautiful Lake Champlain. Rooms and cottages. Many activities available both on and off the water as well as a pool, golf course and places to eat. A great place for families and the young and old. We had a lovely guest room. While there have been some changes due to Covid-19, I felt they were doing a great job of keeping people safe. Had a great time and hope to go again next year.

Excellent place to stay, they have great docks, lots of stuff to do and places to eat and a friendly staff.

Basin Harbor is an awesome family friendly resort. Put it on your list of mist see places!
