Green Mountain Family Campground

This is our second trip to Vermont and this campground. We were not disappointed, very friendly owners with a beautiful view of Green Mountain National Forrest. They also offer camping year round, with free showers, clean bathrooms, and coin operated laundry facilities. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable campground near outdoor activities.

We are a traveling nurse couple that decided to stay here these last two months, during the COVID pandemic. We came here after leaving the Shelburne campground early. If you are working in Middlebury, I highly recommend it. The space between rigs is more than generous while being nestled in the Green Mountain forest. Nearby you have more than suitable stores, gas stations, trails, and water. The campground itself has serene trails within it that I would estimate can amount to a couple of miles at least. The people are friendly, while respectful of privacy and quiet hours. It's the perfect combination of community and solitude. If we ever return to Vermont, this will be the first place we hit up.

We go for the pool, (day use). Its always quiet and peaceful. Pool is maintained acceptably. 3 to 5 ft deep. $4 per person if you are a Bristol resident. Not sure what it is if you aren't.

Highly recommend this campground in the Green Mountains. It's quiet and peaceful and very scenic. The campsites are spacious and there is a good amount of space between sites. There are waterfalls, lakes, hiking trails , wineries, and museums nearby. The owners take great care of this place. They are very welcoming and make you feel like family. We would stay here again.
