It's A Shear Thing

After moving to MD a few years ago, I had yet to find a salon that could give me a good hair cut. A friend of mine mentioned this salon, so I thought I would try them for a haircut. Andrea was my stylist and she was amazing. I had to explain to her why my hair looked almost like a mullet, and she helped reassure me by telling me what went wrong before, and how she would fix it. My haircut was so amazing, that I went back and had my hair colored. The first time I had trusted someone to color my hair in 5 years! Of course it turned out amazing. I was stunned into silence when she was finished, pushing back happy tears as I formed words to thank her.nnOriginally my hair color appointment was scheduled during a hurricane. Eddie, the owner, called me, apologized profusely but said he needed to reschedule my appointment because he was concerned about his stylist's safety. His care for his stylists isn't something you see very often, and speaks volumes (hair pun) to how this salon family operates. I will only be using It's A Shear Thing from now on.

I would absolutely recommend this place for ANYONE! Eddie was one of the most friendly, relaxing and bright energies I have ever encountered. He has such a brilliant soul and it shows through in his work and personality. I got my hair washed, layered and bangs added exactly like I wanted them. Eddie is super easy to talk to which made the experience even more enjoyable for me. It definitely felt like family while I was there and it was also much cheaper than I had expected it to be. I will only be going here for my hair needs and will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a professional, reasonably priced, and amazing experience!

Dakota corrected a terrible haircut I'd received elsewhere in Dec '19 and I'd never had such a great cut! He's done my hair 3 times since and he continues to bring his A game every time. I have very fine, straight hair but he works with it seemingly effortlessly. I no longer dread getting my hair cut ud83dudc9c

Everyone at the salon is so pleasant and fun, I felt like family the whole time. Megan is so personable and sweet and made my experience so relaxing and fun. I would highly recommend It’s A Shear Thing to anyone and everyone!
