Based on what we saw on their website, we were looking forward to having dinner at Zoca while at Bethany Beach for the day. The service and wait staff were attentive and upbeat; unfortunately the food fell flat. Very bland. We had the nachos and the dip trio. No punch or flavor to the salsa and the guacamole was almost tasteless. The two stars given here are for atmosphere, presentation and wait staff. Zero stars for the food.

Excellent location, lots of fun and great drink menu that didn't skimp on the alcohol. The brussel sprouts with chorizo sausage was amazing and the avocado salad was lightly dressed like expected. The paella had a great selection of seafood. BUT cut back on the salt guys! It overwhelmed the Spanish flavors that you put in there and almost made the dish inedible. Yes it's a little pricey, but you are paying resort prices a half a block from the ocean, so that's what you are going to get...

Very good Mexican. Definitely tasted like authentic Mexican food (authentic enough for a beach town). Although, Zoca is SEVERELY over priced for Mexican food. The average price for a standard dish was 16$+. I get it’s a beach town restaurant that inflates prices for tourism but it’s a little overkill for paying 19$ for a traditional Mexican dish that would cost 10$ at any traditional Mexican restaurant

Great location and good feel with decor etc...Staff was very friendly and service was prompt. Regarding the food, it was just ok. I got the filet that came with rice and street corn. It was just underwhelming. The corn was the best of all items. Steak was fine but very bland as was the rice. Had to add salt to pull out any flavor. Would probably give it another shot and get something more in their wheelhouse like fajitas.

Weekend in Bethany BeachnnVisited yesterday per multiple recommendations.nWent in on Sunday, not a busy night.nPleasant atmosphere and staff, but food was mediocre at best. Good presentation and ok flavor but not quite there.nFood was not hot, rice was burnt & crunchy, Fundido was not mixed and cold in the middle, chicken served with ribs was obviously precooked and bland, and fajita mix was many red peppers, some interesting tomatoes, little meat, and came with 3 small tortillas. What could have been a great experience turned out to be just a disappointment.
