I finally got a chance to dine here while visiting my parents for a recent birthday and Heirloom lived up to (and exceeded) its reputation as the best restaurant in Delaware.nnFrom food to service to ambiance this was not only the best meal I've ever had in DE, but probably one of the top five meals of my life. A perfect 2.5 hour dining experience.nnI won't speak about specific dishes, since they are mostly seasonal, but with such thoughful food, wine, and cocktail menus, you can't go wrong. Thanks for the TELEPATHIC service, Caitlin! Can't wait to come back and try even more of the menu.

Heirloom is terrific! The food was extraordinary - explosions of taste in your mouth. Seating inside and outside - they have done their absolute best to social distance the tables. Attention to detail rates 100%! Pictured scallops and an upside-down peach cobbler.

Dinner here was exceptional, the mushroom side was eye opening, the scallops were divine, and the pork chops are drool worthy. Everything was amazing including the service. The only thing I could think of for improvement was that the cocktails had a lot of incredible ingredients listed, but some of the flavors were lost in the mix.

Food is good but didn't meet expectations for the level of prestige this restaurant wants to live up to. For example I ordered for my main entree the flank steak which was really great, the level of attention to the presentation and the pairings were excellent but the cut of steak seemed just par. Also what is really odd is the cutlery they use is really cheap. I actually was given a super cheap knife for my steak, I know this because my mother owns the same knife set which was just a cheap set. The cutlery overall is just a mix and match like they are just buying a mix of things from garage sales. Idk I was disappointed in the quality despite the chefs incredible attention to detail. I spent $200 on our experience at this restaurant with my wife so we really did get enough to leave a fair review here. The cocktails are really good but definitely geared towards women. I'm giving a 3 star review because for the price and the level of caliber this restaurant advertises to be it should maintain a higher level of quality across-the-board.
