This is a great park. Great nature, great history, and great variety. We visited in early October 2020. The museum was not open but I was able to walk around the artillery battery. The coastal defense of the US is a not well known aspect of WWII and this park does a great job of telling this story.nSince it was fall, we were able to walk out on the point at low tide. This was a really interesting walk. The look of the tidal flats was incredible.nThe campsites looked nice and well spaced. Access to the beach was easy.nThere was a neat hawk watch bird watching area with a good view of most of the park.nWe strongly recommend visiting Cape Henlopen State Park.

We stayed in a campsite on Road B. Most sites were shaded by tall pine trees. Sites were flat and had paved areas for parking. People camping in tents had plenty of space and their cars stayed on the pavement. Tony at the front booth was very kind and helpful. He gave great details on how to get to our site and what the park had to offer. The camp store was air conditioned and well stocked with camping knick knacks and cold refreshments.

What a great campground!!! Very well designed and maintained, excellent facilities, beautiful area (trails for walking and biking, beaches). Friendly and professional staff.nnThe G-loop rocks! Make your reservations way, way, way in advance to get the good sites. We come from Bethlehem Pennsylvania. Our little ritual is to go to Cape May and take the ferry over. Make a left and the campground is just a few hundred yards down the road. 11/2 hrs on the water and you are in a great mood when your vacation starts. A little extra time and 50 bucks, but we found it well worth it.nnBuy your firewood at the Weis supermarket. Everybody was joking about how bad the wood at the camp store was. Truly, the only negative about the place. Enjoy.

I have been coming to Cape Henlopen for years and it really is a well maintained park as well as being inexpensive. It is $5 for in state and $10 for out of state to spend the full day there. I usually go to the beach but have also stopped in at the Nature Center and walked some of the trails. There are nice paved paths which are great for bike riding.

5 stars to both the beautiful nature and the park rangers!nnMe and my husband rode bikes along the Gordon Pond trail - absolutely one of the most breathtaking trail I’ve ever been to.nnUnfortunately, we got into a bike accident near Fort Miles. Had to call 911 and the park rangers and the ambulance arrived in no time. The park ranger on duty even drove me to the bike rental place to return my bikes. The level of professionalism and care they demonstrated really touched me.nnWe are deeply grateful for the park rangers and will definitely return one day when we have the chance!
