So excited that I don't have to go to Media or Glen Mills for yoga classes any more! Emily is friendly and welcoming; the space is comfortable. The class schedule is pretty convenient; I especially like the 7:30 pm week night classes. It's such a nice way to wind down after a busy day. If you are thinking about checking out this place, stop thinking about it and just try it out already. Your body will thank you!!

My first yoga class ever was this morning. Emily is a great instructor. I feel centered, I’m in less pain, I’ve learned to focus on my breathing and my posture and that I am allowed time for me and only me. I was so afraid of feeling intimidated and made fun of. Instead, I was taught that we each have our own pace and our own abilities and there is no judgement. I am relaxed and centered. I am committed for life! Really a nice location...set up perfectly. Nice and private.

Last night (6pm Valentine's Day) was my first time at Blue Tortoise, and I look forward to going back. First, the space is visually pleasing, it's tastefully decorated, and there are lots of colorful details like the gorgeous teal wall color and patina metal features Emily did herself. It's a great location and parking was plentiful. I wish it was here when my daughter took dance classes at Paul Klocke down the road! This yoga class was EXACTLY what my body/mind needed. Deep, long stretches that worked the tendons behind my knees, glutes, hips, and lower back. My body felt so stiff when I arrived and totally relaxed and invigorated and when I left. Emily led the class with just the right blend of effective asanas, low lighting, and great props. She's earthy and super friendly too.!

I'm not sure but I but I may be the oldest client? student? that is attending yoga sessions at the Blue Tortoise Yoga. What I am sure of is I have more years behind me then I have in front of me. So why am I taking yoga lessons. I worked in several nursing homes and I've see the results if people falling flat on their face. The results are never good. I started losing my balance about a year ago and didn't know what to do. My daughter suggested yoga and took me to my first session. I was hooked the first night.nI'm into yoga for about six weeks and there is a noticeable change in my posture. I walk straighter with my head up, shoulders back and chest out. I have a long long way to go because I'm a tight as a drum having never done this kind of exercised. My goal is to be able to bend at the waste and keep my knees straight and stand on one leg.

Just a great yoga studio. Always walkout feeling refreshed mentally and physically. Very comfortable space that welcomes beginners and experienced yogis.
