New Castle Battery Park

Absolutely charming!! You must get take out from Nora Lees, then walk just down the street to the park and picnic on the river, then walk the cobblestone streets and pick up a gift from times past. The BEST, absolutely safe outing in these trying times. Very relaxed, safe, everyone is wearing masks, and observing hygiene, no crowds. Shoppes are open!!

One of my favorite places to go. The walking path is nice, clean and safe. I enjoy watching the large barges and boats ud83dudea2 come up and down the Delaware River. Also, good for photo opportunities.

Waterfront exercise is amazing. A lil cooler on hot days. Mornings are the best but evenings are lovely too. A awesome place for your spiritual connection especially in this day and time. Be safe folks. ud83dude0a

Battery Park is a nice 2 mile walk one way along the Delaware River. As one walks along the riverfront will pass various scenery including historic homes, wildlife, and beach area. There is also a beautiful dock on the northern part where can see many waterfowl that frequent the park including cormorants, heron, and terns. It is very enjoyable on a sunny day.

Awesome, peaceful and clean place for walking, jogging, hiking, fishing and for a picnic. A decent parking space. The river side is amazing for a walk.nIt was less crowded when I went, everybody was keeping enough distance from each other.
