As a 2-time #1 ranked Open singles player in Delaware, I believe that the following improvements need to be made for the tennis courts at this park:nn1. Change the color of the lights from yellow back to white. This will make night play much easier by improving people's ability to see the ball better.nn2. Put benches(metal) onto each of the 3 courts. This is more important than the benches located just outside Courts 1 & 3.nn3. Build an asphalt or concrete sidewalk from the court entrance to the basketball court area so that players can avoid the grass and mud when playing soon after rain.
Glad to see it back open again. I would give it 5 stars if the following changes are made to its tennis courts:nn1. Benches are moved or added to all 3 courts-inside the fence so players have a place to sitnn2. The yellow colored lights are replaced by white ones for better vision for night tennisnn3. The pathways leading to the courts are entirely concrete so that one doesn't have to step in mud to enter from either side
Great place to play tennis. Like many Newark parks, it has lighted courts.
Small park with tennis courts, a skate park and open green areas. I played tennis there today.
Love the tennis court!!
