The girl I met at the first fitting was WONDERFUL and then.....nI talked to elaine about adding straps to the dress.nThe straps were to be removable. I showed Elaine the width that I wanted the straps to be.nWhen I came to the final fitting (to pick up the dress two days before my wedding) the straps were sewn in and they were like maxi pads.nThe tulle didn't stay up on my shoulders and they were completely unattractive in pictures.nSorry not sorry, I cried when I saw my wedding photos because of the poor alterations

I had a bridesmaids dress altered here in October 2020. They pay attention to detail and want you to be happy with your dress. All of the workers were kind to me.nnI give 4 stars because none of the workers I encountered, including Elaine, were wearing masks. It was interesting to me that they aren’t recycling plastic dress covers “due to covid restrictions,” but they aren’t wearing masks. This is a bit disconcerting and made me personally uncomfortable (as I myself wear a mask whenever interacting with strangers).nnThe only other complaint I have is that they only accept cash/check. I understand that as a small business, they may not have the ability to accept electronic forms of payment, but this seems a little behind and inconvenient.nnOverall everyone is nice and they do good work, but I wish they would take their customer’s health seriously and consider wearing masks whenever non-workers are present.

For my wedding, my mom and I went to Elaine's to turn my mom's wedding dress into a rehearsal dress for my wedding. I was really nervous about it, but Elaine drew me a sketch of what the finished product would be and she did an amazing job on the dress. My mom didn't cry when I bought my dress, but she cried when she saw this dress! We got all the pieces of mom's dress back, but Elaine really used a lot of the dress to make it look similar to the original, just shorter. And she worked really quickly! Will totally be back for other alterations!
