THIS REVIEW IS WRITTEN FOR My mother in law is 82 years old went and got her hair braided. She was told one price and when the lady finished she charged her a higher price. The hair was so hard and heavy that she had to take it out the same day to get some relief. She said she went to the bathroom and came back she had another lady in the chair doing her hair , so she had to wait until she finished this lady hair to get hers hair finished done. she called her the next day to reschedule for a redo , she was told that yes she will have to pay again when she already paid $160 for a hair style that she was told that will be $140. I don’t think she is a fair person. She should of at least offer me half price to redo my hair. The friend that was with me was told her hair will be $60 dollars but when she finished she told her she owe $90 dollars. BAD BUSINESS!!!!nWILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN
I will start by saying that she is a good braider. Unfortunately not good enough to make me come back and spend the kind of money that braids cost. She canceled my appointment for Tuesday at 8:00am on Monday evening at 8:30pm and rescheduled me for Thursday at 9am...no reason given. I told her that I had to take my mom to a doc appt Thursday at 3pm and she assured me I’d be done well before then. She was late on Thursday and didn’t start my hair until close to 9:30am. She ended up not being able to finish my hair by 2:30pm and asked me to pay. When I gave her my card she told me she does not take cards but this is not posted anywhere in the shop and she failed to verbalize this. She asked me to leave my phone after I already stepped out of her shop. Waved me to come back while it was raining out to ask me to leave my phone while I went to the bank...did not offer to discount the service or even apologize. I’ll never support unprofessionalism.
She does a great job been going to her for a while now you can come up with your own Style
She makes up prices according to how she feels an if she likes u,to small an not clean, not to friendly
Always love my braids here. Have been going here for more than 10 years.They do beautiful work. The shop is clean and the prices are typical for this area (outside of a major city). Tried multiple places in Dover and none compare. This is a typical African Braiding shop so unless you are there first, you will most likely need to wait. She does take appointments but if you're not the first of the day, times will vary. Anyone who has gotten braids in shops before should know this. So please don't come here crying over the wait, its embarrassing.
