Nuboxx

This is my second boxing gym and it has been a great experience. The teachers are friendly and will go at your pace but also challenge you. The studio is really clean, elegant, and has lockers. The receptionist is always so kind and helpful and taught me how to properly wrap my hands.

Best workout experience I've ever had that keeps me engaged and excited to go to the gym. The staff is very intelligent, patient, and encouraging. They work well with all experience levels and really push you to improve your skills and technique. The community of members are nice, supportive, and just as excited to be there. I travel all over the U.S. for work and tend to go to LA Fitness, Orange Theory, and other gyms on the road, but nothing compares to Nuboxx. I highly recommended it.

I've been Nuboxxing for about nine months. I was really nervous at first - everyone seemed much younger and in much better shape than I was, and I wasn't sure if I'd fit in or be able to do what the coaches were asking me to do. What I found was a challenging workout, a community of friendly students, and supportive coaches who pay attention to where each student is and help her figure out the next thing she needs to work on to improve her skills. I'm looking forward to the opening of the second location (on U Street) later this year, where we'll be able to take some of the light contact drills we run in class into the actual ring! Bonus points for being woman-owned and for the fact that many of the coaches are amateur or pro boxers.

Supportive, kind, extremely knowledgeable coaches that are non-judgmental! Highly recommend for a great workout! Classes are kept small so there is a lot of one-on-one coaching. Take classes with each of the coaches; they’re all personable and ready to help you achieve any goals you may have!

I have been going to Nuboxx for over a year and I have loved every sweaty minute. In Nuboxx I have not only found a workout, but a supportive community. Each coach challenges me and there is always opportunities to improve and grow as a boxer when you put in the work. The classes are small which provides for great one on one attention!
