The most caring pharmacist I have ever met! She is amazing! Denise always has a kind and caring professional attitude. The staff at this CVS have always gone beyond in assisting me . This is my favorite CVS - and that is because of the people that work there! ! Thank you to all of them!
handy location, staff is helpful, but so many regular items (like toothpaste and soap) are locked up it's usually simpler to walk a couple of extra blocks to shop at Walgreens.
This is by far the best CVS I've ever been to, the staff is super friendly and they always are in stock. All the staff have amazing customer service.
I’ve lived in DC all my life, and this is the best CVS pharmacy in the city, due its Chief Pharmacist. She is immensely accommodating, and always makes sure you are taken care of. She’s fast, she’s resourceful, and she gets to know her customers. And she’s always got a caring smile, no matter the pressure she’s under. I would write her name but I don’t think google allows specific mentions.
A comrade and I stopped here last Saturday to get a snack after watching the deservedly Oscar winning film, Parasite.nnA poorly hired employee, Vines, was standing at the entrance in what I call “greeter position.” I do not recall being greeted.nnMy friend and I were engaged in deep conversation about the perils of dating, while occasionally making merry with other guests.nnWe strolled the aisles at a leisurely pace, unfocused, while considering whether to sacrifice our personal health goals to indulge more delectable tastes.nnWe noticed Vines now standing adjacent to our aisle, surely to make himself available in case we needed assistance. Despite the unsolicited monitoring, we continued to shop, moving to the next aisle.nnWe noticed Vines had a sudden urge to tinker with the self checkout machine adjacent to our aisle. Ah Vines, so committed to ensuring the best customer experience.nnUnfortunately, his enthusiasm was rather triggering of my diagnosed anxiety. Fret not. We’re all adults here. I decided to stave off my discomfort by approaching the fellow. By this point, he’s staring out of the very large and highly reflective windows.nnI’m hurt, now, because he has discarded his vigilant service to stand about. So I stand next to him, peering through the reflection to view the quiet street outside.nnMaybe it was jealousy, but I inquire of him, what he finds so fascinating. He says “cars and people.” I find his response odd, because there were neither cars nor people outside.nnI suggest that perhaps it was the reflection he found interesting. The reflection that allowed him to subtly monitor my comrade and I. He recommends I get a life, as he hasn’t the time to follow us.nnI’m insulted by his claim. Surely, I have a life. How else could I autonomously move about the store and communicate original ideas? And following me is certainly better than staring into a dead night on an inactive block with a bland building taking up much of the view. How dare he!?nnSo I ask his name, to which he smugly gestures toward his nametag, saying “Vines.” He was so kind as to spell it for me, in case I was illiterate. That Vines fellow. Above and beyond!nnMy friend and I decide to shop at the Walgreens nearby, and we leave. I suspend my desire to inform management of the stellar customer service I experienced and instead wish the miserable chap a good night.nnI do regret the realization that his names is likely not Vines at all. However, I felt better having confronted him, rather than letting pointless guilt and discomfort stir in my spirit due to someone representing the CVS brand poorly.nnEdit: It was a legitimately uncomfortable experience. I cope with depression and anxiety with humor, however terrible my jokes are.nnNote: Vines really was a jerk. I’ll note that I had a shopping bag with me, but I did nothing to indicate dishonest activity.nnAnother note: I’d rate the store 3 stars otherwise. It’s never been a great location, but not a terrible one.
