Good coffee, but pastries were not fresh and disappointing. Way too pricy for the quality they offer
The best coffee in the District, by far. I'm not surprised. If you've ever visited other Philadelphia-based cafes and restaurants, they often out-perform D.C. places. I don't know why. In this case, definitely a more advanced and enjoyable coffee experience as compared to the China Coffee Shop and Peregrine chain, to name a few.
Nice enough place, unfortunately the staff is much more focused on making sure customers follow COVID protocols instead of getting your order correct. Three straight days of visits, only one visit with the order being correctly prepared. But at least they make sure that you follow the arrows on the floor.
Small hole in the wall that roasts great coffee. Wonderful place to sit and relax away from the hustle and bustle of K street.
It’s been a while now since they have reopened and while other cafés and restaurants have reopened and accommodated with outside seating, it is very disappointing to see that this La Colombe has not.nnIt would be nice if the location, as some other locations have done, put out a few chairs and tables to accommodate patrons who wish to enjoy their coffee and sit outside.
