Very clean, plenty of area and things to do, but I would only say semi-safe for children.nThere are plenty of picnic/park tables spaced out in common areas, under shade trees, as well as a few areas of tables with a roof over them.nMy family was only in the playground area and at a single table for lunch, but my 2-year-old niece had a ball at all the choices of slides and play areas.nOnly issue is that the area may need a fence between the equipment and the road. Maybe a fence similar to their tennis courts to catch toys, but I'm not sure the feasibility of getting something like that funded.nNone the less, it is very easy for small children to dart into traffic where the playground equipment is located. Lots of parents had to be quick to catch their little ones before an unfortunate accident occurred. But if you are aware of that how easy children get carried away with their games and stay alert at all times in that area it, which most parents are, it's still a great area. Plenty of open space for kites too!nThe traffic there is from ASU and some general traffic, but it's hard to see if children dart out unless you really, really slow down on that stretch of road. And while the distance from parking to playground is great for my disability, it makes the distance from road to playground equipment quite risky without a fence.nBesides that suggested fence around the equipment to maximize protection of children; Berryhill Park has improved itself immensely since I was a child playing here. The park is very handicap accessible now, which is very appreciative for children and adults as well. Would totally recommend as my top park and will bring my niece and nephew here more.nAlso Berryhill is still a great place for adults too! It's a nice place to have your lunch and enjoy the natural scene. Even just sitting in the parking lot and eating, like my older family members and I like to do on low energy days.
A beautiful place to relax or play like a kid. Well maintained
Great place to visit when there not a lot going on around town! Clean park could definitely use some better landscaping.. the park feel almost incomplete can't really tell what's missing but just needs more
