Ash Avenue Dog Park is situated right in the heart of Downtown of the fantastic city of Tigard.nnIt’s petit size clearly speaks to its intended design as a convenient location for any local resident with furry family.nnOr even to someone who stopped by for say the Tigard Farmers Market who wanted to give their pet a little off-leash time.nnThe surface is paw-friendly wood fiber.nReally nice local “urban” dog park.

Small but gets the job done.nParking is very limited on a busy street. There are better parks within the Tigard area IMO.

So. I have always liked this dog park. Most puppies are friendly and socialized and can handle little dogs... and the people are nice as well. The bad of this park: Parking. The ppl who live on the other side of the street and commuters ALWAYS park in the spots and sometimes you have to park down a bit and walk to it. The city does have 2 hour parking signs but doesn't enforce it. Other than that... as long as you have friendly dogs that like little dogs enjoy it!!

Great dog park for the winter when most other grassy dog parks get muddy and have your dog coming home needing a bath every time. This place is bark only. There are always dogs here to play with, even when there was only one when we arrived within 5 minutes there were 5 more. People are friendly and there is fresh accessible water. No complaints.

I just returned from my first visit to the Ash Ave. dog park. I was quite impressed and my two dogs had a good time.nnIt's February 1st, right in the middle of the rainy season, and there was not one bit of mud to be seen. The entire park is covered in a very thick layer of wood chips. This is fantastic as every other dog park in the SW corner of Metro Portland are basically mud holes at this time of the year -- more suited for hogs than dogs. ;-)nnDuring this time of the year, the water fountains for dogs and human alike are turned-off, however, there is a basic faucet, about one-foot off the ground, which is left operational. It appears some thoughtful patrons have left nice dog water dishes for all to use.nnI will definitely be back -- at least during the rainy season! I'm tired of giving and my dogs are tired of getting hosed-off with cold water when it's 40F outside.
