Masjid As-Saber

Nice place, clean and calm. Good people

Came here while traveling through Oregon during the pandemic and had to stop in for a quick asr prayer, I was told that there were no women allowed and even though there is a women’s section that it was closed as only 25 MEN were allowed.nnI was literally turned away from the house of god and had to pray in a Parking lot. As a practicing Muslim women in full Islamic garb I found odd that this masjid would tell female travelers to pray outside instead of letting them into the house of Allah.nnNote: I understand that the masjids have to practice social distancing during the pandemic but I wasn’t asking to join the congregational prayer (Jama) I was asking to be able to pray in a separate corner after the men were done and I was refused entry due to my gender :(

My wife's grandmother passed away. You were very welcoming to all non-Muslims. Many churches could learn from your generosity.
