This place is so warm and welcoming. I love stopping in every time I’m in Greenwood. I’ve ordered something different every time, and all of the drinks have been fantastic! But my personal favorite has been a hot half and half latte with agave. It’s so rich and full of flavor. I also appreciate the authenticity of this shop and their commitment to using coffee from small business roasters instead of a major chain. Attention to these kinds of details are what sets this shop apart.
I was super excited that a coffee shop was opening here in Greenwood. The inside is decorated very shabby chic and the staff are friendly. I wanted to like this place and have somewhere to get decent coffee in Greenwood.nnUnfortunately, I have tried the coffee twice and it is awful. The iced mocha was flavorless, weak and watery, yet bitter. The frozen mocha was equally bad, just frozen instead of iced.nnI am sorry to say, unless they magically get better recipes, I won’t be back.nnPlease get better recipes, I really want a good coffee shop in Greenwood!!!!
I stopped in on their 3rd day open. Each of my party tried a different drink and muffin. That first bite silenced each of us as we savored the delicious flavor. Then when we picked up our drinks, good real coffee. My mocha was great, as were all the drinks. The best part was the smiles and kindness of the staff. I'll be a regular.
This is an awesome place to start your day. Great coffee, friendly staff and tasty pastries and bagels
The first time I went in I ordered an iced white mocha. I gave the lady instructions that I wanted the mocha stirred with the espresso before milk was added in and she did that, I was very happy with that cup. This morning I went in to order two hot white Mochas. As many said before, there is only one size, that's fine, I understand it's a small shop and is trying to minimize cost just getting started. I asked for whole milk, but they only carried 2%. Okay, I'm not gonna make a big deal out of that. When she handed me my Mochas she told me she made them extra hot since I mention I was taking them to someone. Well, one was for me, one was for someone else. Here's the first problem. Instead of just assuming that I would want it extra hot, ask. It's something simple to do and can give that extra quality in customer service instead of assuming I wanted it extra hot. I have worked in many coffee shops and have even help a man get his coffee shop started. When you make milk too hot it gets a scalded flavor, burnt. Many people do not like this and it's one of the reason I normally don't order a hot Mocha/Latte, anything. Old milk and burnt milk is disgusting to me, some do like that flavor and they request that you scald it. So while I know the intentions behind making it hotter to keep it warm for the person I was delivering it to were caring, I recommend taking that extra step to ask. Also, instead of making the milk hotter, investing in a better cup would also insult the coffee better. Within the time frame of delivering the coffee, the cup had already become flimsy. It's a generic cup, you're missing a huge advertisement possibility. No one knows I got my coffee from you, so no one looks at it twice, no one starts a conversation about your business. Spending the extra money on a good cup with your brand on it it's not just a cup, it's an investment in your business and advertisement. When they see your brand they may think to try it out, or may ask the person if they like the place and a conversation is now in their head. It's something to think about to grow your business. So finally the coffee might be cooled off enough to drink it, so my first taste, bland, no white Mocha. Take it home, stir it, still no white Mocha. Here's the thing, white mocha coffee drinkers like it SWEET, like seriously they have many sweet teeth. If they didn't like it as sweet they may just go for a regular mocha or even a latte with syrup. If I could have tasted my coffee before leaving, I would have question if you remembered to put Mocha in it and stir it. Stir stir stir, I can no stress that enough. We are only human and we make mistakes, it's okay. Don't be afraid of the spoon and taking that extra step, that's where a good barista can shine, that extra time and love to give each person an amazing cup of coffee to start their day. This year has been incredibly rough for everyone, especially small businesses. I will continue to come back and will love to watch you grow. I hope this advice helps.
