Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve

This is one of the best urban hiking trails in the greater Portland area. There are plenty of wildlife viewing spots with abundant animals for the kids to spot. There are also several different trail loops for this that want a fitness hike of varying lengths. The trees provide plenty of shade and the trails are mostly gravel or wood chip with a few blacktop sections near the parking lot. This is one of my favorite places to go take a hike.

Its was nice trail. There was an event there today. People were giving away trees to be planted. Got one to plant with my granddaughter

Nice open space with wide trails. Great for a walk and birwatching.

Tons of easy trails for kids or mobility carts. Poke stops and gyms all over. Relaxing and quiet.

This is a great place to take nature photos, especially if you want to take photos of birds.
