Nice trees and water and power. Going there this summer.
Pulled in after dark found a spot for the van had a beer real clean and quite bout 1100 the next day the people who had reserved the spot I was in showed up ha. All goodnBathroom was clean
This is my second time to camp here with my Motorhome and I love it!! The beauty of the surrounding is breathtaking. It's an awesome place to meditate and refresh your soul. Spent many childhood summer at Cove Lake at the bottom of Mt. Magazine. Now they had activities to do on the lake grounds.nThe Visitors Center people are so knowledgeable and friendly. I also enjoy their store! Super nice restaurant at the lodge. Will always come back as often as possible! Call way ahead for weekend reservations.
The maintenance has gone downhill. It's sad to see one of our favorite campgrounds not being cleaned or mowed. It is in a beautiful area and all the campsites are shaded, but hard to enjoy when grass is tall, firepits are full, trash bins full, and bathrooms are not cleaned or maintained well. Toilets have not been cleaned for a very long time, nor have the floors or sink area. It was too nasty to use entire 5 night stay despite numerous complsints.
