Checked in 1 pm for 2 pm appointment got loaded 8 pm, drivers, don’t waste your time here

The company does not care about employees at all. I worked at Shearer's for three and a half years in processing, it was often close to 120 degrees and I worked 12 hour shifts. I Witnessed several people get severely injured, also witnessed many being hospitalized for heat exhaustion. Then get fired because the company won't pay workers compensation. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Drivers: make sure you are provided with a number starting with 9900 before approaching the shipping window. They'll turn you away and note you as arriving at a later time than you first entered the office when you return with the 9900 number. *** Georgetta in shipping stated it is their company policy to not start paying out detention until AFTER 2.5 hours. *** Pros: Nice turn around space and plenty of room to back into docks.

I am with a trucking company. We have hauled out of this facility many times, and there’s usually some kind of problem. We had booked a load through a broker. The load was booked after the appointment time, but in the past, they have worked us in, with no detention but still get worked on. It was Friday afternoon, in the middle of this pandemic, and they absolutely refused to load our truck, saying we were late. If I owned this company, I would upset at my shipping clerk, and would most likely fire her for not pushing my product, especially fresh product that has an expiration date. Shipping office isnunprofessional. We gave several options to deliver this product on time since we are an Arkansas based trucking company. Clerk still refused to load us. She was extremely rude to our driver and our dispatcher. She made us feel that we were late even though when we booked, it had an open shipping appointment from 12:00-20:00. My driver showed up at 1700. Will not do business with them again. Absolutely uncalled for.
