Fantastic place to spend a day with the family or three like we did. Bay side has a trail the size of a one lane road most of the way with mostly packed gravel, but portions turn to sand and back to gravel trail with a few areas of loose gravel or larger rocks packed into the dirt making it harder for bikes especially when towing children behind in a buggy. It comes to an end at a portion of the beach that's less inviting than the rest of the peninsula due to the winds and protected nesting sight. I'd recommend hitting one of the cut across trails at the beginning if your going just for the beach. Beach side was gorgeous with very few people. There was quite a bit of jellyfish and some yellow algae but that didn't stop a couple kite boarding. There are numerous trails that cut across the peninsula all of them have tall, pokey grass throughout the walk.

Easy flat trail around the peninsula. The most difficult part is probably cutting across the peninsula if you take one of the passthrough trails. The sand is pretty soft, which made walking in shoes difficult. Also, tons of trash everywhere! My backpack was full by the time I got back to the car.

Pretty interesting. Amazing to see and think about what was! I just wish there were more signs and photos showing where all the buildings were!

This is a great bay/ocean walk. Flat dive to location, but really beautiful. Tons of water fowl, boat activity.

Nice easy hike of the peninsula and washed away town. No facilities! (not even portapoties as I recall but I could be mistaken. Grateful to be a man that can water trees :) Road and parking lot were hard in good condition, (rolling it that day actually), but not paved.
