Some of the best fish and chips I have ever had. Everything is made to order and you can see them freshly batter the fish right in front of you.nThe wait times may seem a bit long but they are upfront about it and it is worth the wait. They told us it would be about 50 minutes (came out in 35).nTheir fries are excellent as well.nGive them a try if you are in the area and you will not be disappointed.
This place is phenomenal!! Everything is homemade, the baskets were packed and heavy, the fish was big and crisp but not too heavy, and the seasoning on the fries is great. They run it out of a small food truck in the back of another store so they have a nice river view. The coleslaw is sweet with poppy seeds and raisins so it's a great contrast to the salt in the fries and fish. You won't regret stopping here on the way north or south!
This place was so good! We had just finished a long hike and it was the perfect ending to a great day. It didn't take too long to get our food and the food was delicious! They especially have good sauces. We would definitely come back again.
My partner and I were looking for fish & chips and came across this place. It was crowded and the wait was 45-50 minutes, but the wait was worth it. During that time we walked around the town and visited different shops, played a card game to pass the time. If you encounter a similar situation I would do that to help with the wait.nnI ordered the fish & chips and my partner ordered the pulled pork tacos. The fish were delicious and fresh, not too greasy. The chips were crispy and lightly seasoned. And the coleslaw was cool and crisp. The dish comes with tarter sauce and ketchup, and you can always ask for more. The pork tacos were wonderful as well, a nice option for those who don't like fish.nnOverall it's an awesome place with a wonderful vibe. I would recommend.
Lovely crisp fat beer-battered cod with crisp seasoned fries and awesome fresh coleslaw (mixed cabbage, carrot, raisins, etc). Hit the spot. Behind a treasure store of local antiques you can browse while waiting as they fry (or you can sit at an outdoor or rain protected picnic table). Social distanced. Nice friendly owners who make you feel welcome. Great through and through!
