Campsite 52: starting with the bad so you can prepare accordingly or pass, ending with the good so you go anyway.nn1) Fire Ants - concrete picnic table on concrete slab is infested, cracked slab resulted in ant bites while eating.n2) Noise Pollution - water treatment facility turns on and off in 30min intervals, easily heard at campsite, bring ear plugs.n3) Proximity - neighboring sites are all with 20 yards, reserve all four sites and go as a larger group for the win.n4) Blustery - cold front moved in while camping and we had constant high winds 30mph with gusts 40+ for 16 hours.n5) Walk in only site means carrying your gear 50 yards from the parking area to your campsite, plan accordingly.nnOkay, still reading? This site is amazing, it's on a peninsula and you get private lake access with stairs down into the water and large metal benches to watch the sunset. There is space to park your sail boat or small water craft.nnThe sites all have two power outlets and one larger outlet similar to what I've seen for a washing machine / dryer.nnOn a good day it is 64-86 degrees, sunny, and the water is cool but not frigid, think cringe as you first submerge and then you're fine. The sunsets are amazing, water clean, and fish plentiful. Enjoy!

Beautiful campsites. Swimming area was like a beach with sand and all. Only downside was that there is only 1 dump site and at the same location a water filling station which can get crowded early in the morning as people check out. Would love to see the Corp come in and add water to all sites.

Very nice. A great place to relax from daily routine. The lake is beautiful, the water is crystal clear.nThe bank is stony. Be careful bringing your pets, as they can hurt their paws.

The swimming beach area was ok, but we explored on down the bank of the lake and found some of the clearest waters there! My boys snorkeled and found lots of shells and rocks there. Also, beautiful lake views with the islands and mountains in the distance.
