Beautiful trail. There are all kids of birds to see, and the occasional crab too! The beach is clean, and the scenery is beautiful. The only downside is that since it is a horse friendly park, you will find some manure on the walk. Not too hard to walk around though.

Did this on blustery, dramatically cloudy day and it was AMAZING. We truly felt like we were on the edge of the world. Between the landscape and the weather it was such a unique experience.

Amazing beauty! This park is beautiful. But you do have to get out of the car, and you have to walk on the beach to get a good idea of what is there. The dunes are enormous, and there are miles of clean underpopulated white sand. You'll need a Park permit, but it's worth the five bucks. We ended up spending most of the afternoon there when we only anticipated being there for a few minutes.

2 mile hike out to the North jetty where Nehalem Bay empties into the ocean. The view from the jetty is fantastic. Hike out and back or return along the beach (highly recommended). Respect the signs protecting the Snowy Plubber nesting grounds. If you take the beach back, there is a bright 23B marker in the dunes to mark the trail back to the parking lot at the trailhead where there are primitive bathrooms. To find the trail head navigate towards Nehalem Bay State Park and follow the signs into the park and to the Ampitheater/ Boat Dock. Go just past the boat dock where the road dead ends into a parking lot.
