Hickory Creek Park

It's quiet, kids can ride their bikes. Pretty clean too. And it's not too far from town should you need anything.

I’ve always loved this park in the past but I won’t be back. We put up 4 small tents and were told we had to take one down. Now, I know the website posts 3 tents, but we’ve done 4 in the past and never had any issues. Same number of people; seriously had to take one small single-person tent down. ud83dude21 Oh, you can’t feed the ducks and geese either. I got in trouble by “Karen”, the park ranger. She told me that they don’t allow it here because of some research they are doing. Are the ducks tagged? The geese? How do you know I was feeding YOUR DUCKS, KAREN!?! Regardless, I’m not coming back. They were so petty this time. It’s ridiculous!

Best place to get out and get away from the city! So peaceful

The park is a very nice and quiet place. The bathrooms are in need of being updated. The showers have less than 30 seconds until they go off and you have to continuously keep punching the button. The mirrors could use an update too. The bathrooms could use a heater. A timer heater is all that is needed, basically for showering. The bathrooms were clean, but a dusting of cob webs is needed. Since there is no water at the campsites a hand soap dispenser in the bathroom is a necessity. I don’t believe I listing anything major, just some minor adjustments could make it so much more welcoming. Let me finish with saying again, it’s a very nice campground and the host are very helpful and friendly! The bathroom was the reason it wasn’t 5 (five) star.
