The Central Library of the Central University of Venezuela or Central Library of the UCV, the name given to the main and most important Library of the University City. Its history begins with the founding of the university in 1721. It is then that the old Santa Rosa de Lima seminary school became the Royal University of Caracas and its collection of books became part of this new institution.

It is the house where the shadows of ignorance are overcome Central Library of the Central University of Venezuela (or Central Library of the UCV) is the name given to the main and most important Library of the University City of Caracas, located in the Libertador Municipality, west of the Metropolitan District of Caracas, and at the north of the South American country of Venezuela. The current building is the work of the Venezuelan architect Carlos Raúl Villanueva who designed it in the 1950s, but the institution has its antecedents in the Santa Rosa de Lima Seminary and in the Royal and Pontifical University of Caracas. It is easily accessible from anywhere in the city as it is close to the station on line 3 of the Caracas Metro, called Ciudad Universitaria.

I walk inside the UCV with relative frequency. The UCV is alone. The library has not used it for some time.

It is an edf made to contemplate going outside, and a special place to explore inside. Its structure makes a combination of shapes and colors, plus the use that is assigned a special place, it must be traveled with a camera in hand
