On February 1, 2006, the Turmero Virtual Library, Prof. Luís Sarco Lira, opens its doors to become the largest headquarters of the Virtual Libraries of Aragua. The opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of the state of Aragua, the mayor of the Municipality of Santiago Mariño, the President of the A.C. BBVVA and the village pastor. The mission of the headquarters is to promote an environment of training, invention, quality and service excellence that strengthens relevance and consolidates technological knowledge, taking advantage of the scientific and technological innovation capabilities offered by the A.C. Virtual Libraries of Aragua and the availability of organized human talent in order to foster community-technology linkage.
