As Guayreño I can say based on the fact that a lot has been said about what this colonial building means, is, or was this colonial building, since I was a child I heard that some said that Simón Bolívar lived there, others more learned told me that it was once the headquarters of the customs In La Guayra, however, the reality is that this colonial building together with its architecture represent, from the cultural point of view, a very particular Spanish community, the Basque country, but more specifically the name of a region of that community that en Guipuzcoa, the second peculiarity is that that house represented a large company of the Spanish empire called the Real Compañía Guipuzcoana, which was in charge of managing overseas territories, everything related to foreign trade, imports, exports as well as guaranteeing the security of these overseas territories from a military point of view.
