There were many advantages of booking a professional photoshoot in Viet Nam. The main advantage for us was that it was significantly cheaper compared to the same package in United States. However, there were MANY cons as well.nPros: Price, it was cheaper than United States prices. The locations in Da Lat was simply beautiful.nThe photographers were great and really easy to work with. We’re not photogenic but they were very helpful. Their names were Dao and Hoa. (However, they’re just contracted for the company. They don’t work for the company). The make up artist was adorable. I loved him, very flamboyant. Do not expect the same skill from make up artists in Viet Nam as we have in United States. They don’t use high end make up nor correct tools. My make up artist blended in my foundation with his fingers. I really liked his attitude and I understand that not everything is readily available in Viet Nam.nnCONS:nThey don’t speak English or it was VERY broken English. My Vietnamese isn’t very good and they preferred Vietnamese communication through Facebook which lead to a lot of miscommunication during the photoshop stages. They didn’t understand how I wanted some pictures fixed.nnThe “company” is located in a very very dusty warehouse. It was so sketch. They said there were just relocating so excuse the mess but it was a hot mess. The dresses were all balled up in plastic bags. They weren’t hung up, it was impossible to choose from the dresses. When we were shooting, I noticed brides from other locations with wayyyy nicer dresses. I was highly disappointed in their dress selection. Also, if you’re anything bigger than a size 2, don’t even try their selections. I’m a size 2 and I was considered on the bigger size and couldn’t fit some of the dresses.nnOne of my major arguments with them was about money. They advertised the package was $13 million dong ($572 USD dollars) so a family member booked it for 13mil on May 30th for a shoot on June 7th. 2 days later, they dropped the price to 11mil. The price was valid for shoots from June 2nd to June 13th. We didn’t realize this until we already put our down deposit of 11million. They wouldn’t budge on the price and would not give us our photo album unless we give them the extra 2 million. Not the way to do business at all.nnAnother really big argument was that the photographers forgot the flycam the day of our shoot. I saw it charging when I came in for hair and make up but when we left, they forgot. On their site, they advertise that the flycam was worth 3 million. There were some shots I DESPERATELY wanted but could ONLY be done with a flycam. When I complained to management (her name is Mai or Minna) she said it wasn’t part of my package. Even though it was advertised online as part of the package. I had screen shots of their online advertisement but they said since “it wasn’t in the contract they couldn’t honor it”. You have to read EVERY SINGLE letter of the contract because they will screw you over. This was more heartbreaking for me than the money issue. I really wanted the shots and kept asking the photographers and they ignored me. This was the only time I was very angry with them. I tried to get the $3 million dong worth ($150ish USD) back for them not having a fly cam and they blamed it on me for not reading their contract carefully. At this time, they still had the advertisement for the shoot on their site. It was now 11 million WITH fly cam. So, I paid 13 million and mine didn’t include a fly cam?nThis is why I will NEVER do business with them again. They are not honest. It was very hard for me to express my anger at them and I had to rely on family members who spoke the language well. Just a warning to anyone who uses their service. Use someone else. They suck.

This is also a new hotel address in recent years, Lavender Fullhouse. This is a homestay hotel and has 2 types of views, 1 overlooking the pine forest and 2 overlooking the city. I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the view, service attitude and price of this place. The hotel offers motorbike rental and there is always a 24-hour front desk. The location here is quite convenient because it only takes 3 minutes by motorbike to reach Da Lat market, Xuan Huong Lake, as well as very easy to find. Right below the hotel is a small coffee shop with affordable drinks. I rate 4 stars.

Lavender Studio is quite famous and popular in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang has now opened a branch in Da Lat, so I think the quality is equivalent to other branches, please come and support it. This opening has a lot of valuable promotions for you guys
