The garlic soup was out of this world. Been sitting outside on a warm Summer evening. Lovely atmosphere, brilliant service, very good wine list, the tapas are really original (try the pig cheek! ) We were lucky as there was a live jazz band performing...
They made me give my first one star review. I usually don’t care about bad service but I never experienced something like this before! Read through the other recent one star reviews, you will get my point. Also most of the reviews are misleading because they have been written for the pre owner!The food was good tho and the trainee very caring.
The chef "Chris" likes his local customers but obviously doesn't like tourists. I was there with my girlfriend and we had never been so mistreated in a restaurant before. He seemed offended the moment when we entered the restaurant (which is by the way super expensive and the portions very small from what we saw on the tables). He refused to give us the menu for 10min, so we took it ourselves. We left after his arrogant behaviour and went straight to another restaurant in the area where they had decent manners. Our advice: Go and look for something else if you have dignity.
Very slowly delivery , expansive for standard which their pretending. The food not was tasty . Sorry guys but that was real situation
Great food and amazing service! We will definitely come back. The new owner and chef, Chris, has brought his own experiences and influences from Portugal. It is a very interesting and fun menu in a historic atmosphere.
