Lovely view and super good regional food

I spent a great evening in the cozy traditional ambience of the Heurigen. In fall you order Sturm, which is the must of the fermented pressed grape juice. Furthermore you order for drinking white wine and Soda. The Soda is very special as it comes in 60 year old soda syphons. Just the mixing of the wine with soda is already a nice experience. When it comes to food it is getting even better. You go to the buffet and can see what you want to have. They prepare everything fresh and you just tell them what you want to pick. The variety is from salad (e.g. potato salad, beet root salad) to bread spreads and traditional meat (roast beef or pork). If you just want to have something small to eat, you can get bread and spreads. The spreads are delicious and you just try a little bit of everything. A very special spread is "Verhaschtes", which contains meat and greaves. This will give you the right basis for the wine. So, don't miss out the traditional Heurigen in Vienna when you are around.
