The Dude - Thai Food and Beer Bar

Nov.2019 highest recommendation!! authentic Thai, incredibly delicious dishes and great atmosphere. without question a great spot! be aware: menu changes daily, offer while stock lasts. all gluten free and dairy free. At the dude, one can have one dish which changes daily. In accordance with the traditional cuisine one can choose from a meat option (chicken or beef) or tofu. Gaeng dishes are vegan friendly. The dishes are made to order and prepared from scratch with fresh and tasteful ingredients, after lunch-rush-hour one might have to wait for the dish to be ready for a bit, however it is absolutely worth the wait! The dish is flavoursome and spicy, it comes with a side of rice and portion size is filling. It’s a satisfying well-seasoned meal that brings authentic Thai cuisine to Graz. For drinks one can choose from non-alcoholic homemade soft drinks or lassis as well as beer, wine or spirits. The soft drinks are intense in flavour and to my taste a touch too sweet, however one gets the syrup in the glass with a bottle of still or sparkling water and when pouring in the syrup into the bottle it dilutes nicely into a not too sweet beverage (take a sip off the water first to avoid spoiling all). It is a self-service bar; staff is absolutely friendly and patiently explains all one wants to know. The chef is very helpful when talking about dietary requirements. Prices for food are moderate, drinks are a bit high but all in all it’s justified and worth every penny as almost everything is homemade and prepared freshly, really good value for money!! On top of the delicious food comes a welcoming modern interior, facilities are clean and tidy and from entering to leaving one feels very welcome. Highest recommendations - definitely come here when you’re around!

I was able to attend the reopening of the small and fine, if a bit hidden, restaurant. The menu is kept small, but it changes completely every week. The selection itself is neat. For the meal itself: Very authentic at a high level, portions are quite large. A little tip: order the card once and put everything in the middle to share. In summary, it can be said that the combination of excellent food, a lounge-like atmosphere and an urban eatery was a perfect success. Will definitely come back. Tip: ideal during the lunch break

Difficult to find at first (around the corner and inconspicuous) and then closed during opening hours ?? The long way in vain

Apparently no longer exists locally. Everything dark and closed. A free journey!
