What a surprise. Small beisl hidden by the tennis courts. You go in and you have a small closed area on the left where food is served. The menu is small, updated daily and made with regional ingredients. The meals are served like in an upscale restaurant including decoration. Excellent taste and also really inexpensive. The landlord is passionate about his work and looks after the guests personally. There's really nothing to complain about here. It is important to reserve in good time as there are only limited places.

Despite stricter corona hygiene rules, my father-in-law's birthday visit was a complete success! Many thanks to the landlord Horst, who introduced himself by his first name right at the beginning and told us that he had reserved the entire parlor for us so that we had enough space. The fact that there was only a small menu with a few selected dishes hardly bothered us, as there was something for every taste - the advantage, however, was that everything was freshly prepared and small "extra requests" could be made without any problems. When the food was served, we were very surprised if the presentation was really appealing. The taste finally convinced. Harmoniously coordinated dishes - the spices in the background, but the original taste of the food skillfully brought into focus. Regional products from the immediate vicinity - as Horst later explained to us in more detail when he served us a highland beef steak as a "sample" from the kitchen ... The steak was at least 200 grams and was almost a main course of its own ... ( Was not offset!) We didn't really want to order anything for dessert, as we were then invited to coffee and cake from the mother-in-law - but Horst insisted on it and brought us a "greeting" from the kitchen in the form of semolina flammers and stewed plums - of course everything freshly prepared and presented very nobly. The prices were sensationally cheap - a meal at a very high level for the invoice amount we received was almost ridiculous and we even asked if you had not miscalculated! Conclusion: gladly again - we are pleased to have "discovered" this restaurant. Thanks again Horst for the lovely Sunday lunch!
