I stopped by after hiking and was in shorts and hiking boots. The staff spoke excellent English, recommended a tasty main course for lunch and didn’t treat me any different because if the attire. As soon as I told them I was there for lunch, they brought out a white tablecloth for the outdoor seating and the service and food were excellent. Eating here isn’t inexpensive, but it is an excellent choice.

Kind of old school Vienna style restaurant and café. Placed in central Bad Ischl near the river with view on town's panorama, you can sit outside in the summer. Kind of classy place. Plenty of sweet pastry and cakes to choose from. We had one of their breakfast options which was perfectly good. Only their prices could be lower.

Good food but worst service ever, total contempt for the customer. If you have 2 hours to spend here and wait then perhaps fine, otherwise don't bother. Ordered sausage, took 20 minutes, then just cancelled as it wasn't anywhere bear ready. Go figure, had to go catch waiter several times, otherwise they wouldn't bother. Appalling.

Very unpolite waiter! I arrived at the place after several glasses felt down at the entrance! At the same time a big car wanted to pass on the small street in front, so I stand on the stairs before the entrance while I was wearing the mask.. few second after I did not realize that a waiter wanted to clean exactly the small area were I was standing, in which I did not realize there were broken pieces of glasses! Instead of asking me in a polite way to move, he hited/pushed my leg with the brum to make me move! Probably also swearing on me something that I could not understand!
