We were with V-Twin Tours from September 5th to 12th. on a motorcycle trip in Carinthia, our base hotel for these 7 days was the Strasswirt. We lived in the back house in apartment 2. The apartment is very practical, everything was very clean. The large balcony, from which you have a wonderful view of the valley, is very nice. The hotel's breakfast room is furnished with attention to detail. Breakfast could be put together from a small, but very well-stocked buffet. After driving many kilometers on our Harleys during the day, we made ourselves comfortable on the very beautiful hotel terrace in the evening and then had dinner there too. The landlord cooks himself and is super delicious. The Strasswirt is perfect for motorcyclists. Opposite the hotel there is a very large garage in which the bikes can be safely parked. In the evening the gate is closed by the innkeeper. The garage is perfectly equipped with a washing area, tools, engine oils and an air pressure gauge. There is also a fridge there, from which you can take a bottle of water and a bar with you before the day tour - for free! A very small drawback, for which the hotel cannot help, is the location directly on the B 111. There are a lot of trucks there, even at night. Therefore, when the window is open in the bedroom, it is very noisy at night. All in all, we felt "really good" there and would stay at the Strasswirt again at any time during a Carinthian holiday.

Great hotel for motorcyclists. There is a locked garage for two-wheelers, a drying room for motorcycle clothes and sufficient parking space for trailers. The food is also great & the owners were always friendly. On the terrace outside you can meet funny people in the evening with a mountain panorama. The only drawback: the hotel is located directly on the main road and sometimes has noisy traffic next to the rooms.

Unfortunately our motorcycle week is already over. We were traveling with V-Twin Tours and stayed at the Strasswirt for the tour nights. There we were warmly welcomed by the hosts. There was nothing to complain about about the accommodation. It was very clean and cozy and the evening meal was delicious. Due to the regionally produced food (even the apple sauce for the Kaiserschmarrn was cooked ourselves), we were looking forward to coming home after the tours.
