A really good experience. Excellent food. The landlord tells you interesting stories about fallow deer and David deer. Everyone is very nice and hard-working. A lot of own products. I will definitely come back.

After a long search to spontaneously find an open restaurant in Mariazell on Saturday evening, phone the very warm owner of the Fallensteingut and get a table for 6. A stroke of luck! Run by the 5th generation, there is game from self-hunted, homemade lemonades, beautiful Styrian wines and perfect espresso from the portafilter. We ate excellent, in an incredibly friendly atmosphere and delightful service. Good quality, honest gastronomy and sustainable hospitality should be rewarded. We'll definitely be back. Clearly an insider tip that one likes to share with the world!

Really very good food. Great game dishes and desserts. Above all, more unusual dishes than most of the competition in Mariazeller Land (e.g. fallow deer schnitzel in pumpkin seed egg breading). Rounded off by the nice ambience (beautiful garden, rustic cozy interior)
