Ellie and her team made dealing with our mum's tangi (funeral) that much easier. She made sure our wishes we're met without question and was a dream to deal with. I want to thank Ellie, Keith and there wonderful team for the service, support and care given to my sister and I following the death of our mother. Ellie couldn't have done anything better for our mother's funeral. She listened to our wishes and gave helpful suggestions when we faltered. The small things were very much appreciated. Ellie and the team at Funeralcare did a wonderful job looking after us during a most difficult time when my father passed in January this year.nIt was my first time having to organise a funeral and she just walked us through the whole process with so much care and understanding, she really made it as easy as possible.nShe also understands the NZ Maori cultural protocol and catered to our specific wants and needs to be able to have our father at home with us for 3 days before laying him to rest. She even came to the house during those 3 days to check on dad and make sure he was still looking his best.nThey were so wonderful during the whole process and the day of the funeral went exactly as we'd planned.nI nearly lost my husband this year in June and was told to prepare for the worst so in my mind I was already planning a funeral down to the photos n music I wanted but I knew all i had to do was give Ellie a call.Thankfully I didn't have to make that call to Ellie but I know if we need to in the future we will always go with Funeralcare.nYesterday I picked up my dad's official death certificate from Funeralcare and to be honest I was anxious to walk in there because all of those memories and feelings came flooding back from when we were there for my dad. But as soon as I walked in and Ellie and her husband greeted me like we were family who hadn't seen each other in awhile all that anxiety went away and it was really good to chat with them about the year we've had.nThank you so much Ellie n the team at Funeralcare.. ❤❤

My family has been assisted by Funeralcare for both our parents' funerals. We were very pleased with everything Ellie, Keith and their staff did for us at such difficult times in our lives. I first met Ellie 3 years ago with my mum to plan for her funeral. My mum passed away a few weeks ago and Ellie came personally to collect mum from the home she was in just before 6am. It was a very emotional moment and I was just so appreciative that Ellie was the one picking her up. I then met with Ellie later that day to book in her funeral and review requirements to fulfill my mum's wishes.nnThe funeral took place earlier this week and everything ran perfectly. Family in the Eastern States were able to contribute by pre-recording the Eulogy, a talk and a song and Ellie organised for everything to be uploaded to the cemetery. The service was streamed with a link provided the day prior so that family could watch live or at a later time depending on their time zone. Everything ran seamlessly.nnYesterday I picked up the Death Certificate and also a thumb drive containing all the audio, video and photographs of the funeral service; all identified clearly and easily accessible.nnOver the past 3 weeks I have felt so cared for by Ellie and staff at Funeralcare. The professionalism and level of detail put into the service and looking after my mum throughout with such compassion and respect has given me so much comfort and assurance.nnI am extremely grateful that my mum chose Funeralcare to manage her funeral. It's so important to know that all the legal requirements are fulfilled and everything is managed and organised in a timely manner. It's the 'icing on the cake' if you are also able to emotionally connect with the funeral provider; and this was absolutely the case for me using Funeralcare.
