GP Cockburn Central

I saw Dr Lam at this practice. She was very professional & helpful.nDr Lam went above and beyond what most Drs I have seen do in a standard appointment , she asked questions and really tried to get a history of my problem. I will be returning to this practice to see Dr Lam due to her professionalism.

I’ve been to this practice for years now in the hope of finding a decent doctor. They range from indifferent (if you speak English as a first language) to incompetent. I’d googling your symptoms on screen in front of you. This is only true if they actually listen at all. Go anywhere else if you have the choice.

I had my phone consult with one of the doctors here at 3 pm on the day. The doctor was great and told me that he would send my prescription to my local pharmacy at the earliest conversation. At around 5 pm, because of my elevated symptoms, I went to the pharmacy to see if the prescription has arrived. The pharmacist said not yet and told me to contact Cockburn GP for double-checking, so I rang the Cockburn GP and told my enquiry politely. The receptionist, however, sounded agitated and short-tempered. She said that ”I know your prescription, but we cannot just send it to you instantly, OK!’ I explained that I understand she cannot send it to my pharmacy instantly. If she could let me know when I could expect my prescription to be sent, that would be appreciated. She then sounded raised her voice to say: I am on my own, and cannot do this instantly, 10 mins, OK?!. And then hung the phone...I felt not being treated respectfully. I can see she was under pressure, but hey, who does not? As a receptionist in a medical centre with clients/patients who tend to be vulnerable, at least I think the receptionist needs not to bring their emotions to their work; otherwise, the communication would fail.

Able to get flu shot that is applicable to my age

Dr. Mark Bentley is incredible! Very much cares about his patients and happy to explain everything in depth and lays out options for care. Extremely happy with how he handled my appointment.
