Penneshaw Hotel

We loved this pub, it became the centre of our Penneshaw visits and we ate there several times. It has a great outdoor area overlooking the sea, with views to the mainland. Food was excellent - both surf and turf based and the staff were friendly, god local chat if you wanted but not intrusive, and always accommodating even when the restaurant seemed full. Could improver the selection of beers. especially local ones.

Last night on KI we decided to have dinner at Penneshaw Hotel. We arrived at 5:15 and had a couple of drinks with the family in the outdoor area and it was a cold night. We went in to book an indoor table as we noticed it was filling up fast. Marie advised that we can have table 7 as no one else has it for the whole night and to come back at 5:30 to order at the bar. We went back at 5:37 and she stated because we did not immediately go to table 7 that she has given it to someone else, I explained this is not what she stated. She was extremely rude with her manner and made us feel very uncomfortable. The other staff were fantastic and the food was great. I can see in the last few weeks others have also been served by Marie, I feel she needs a lesson in customer service. This somewhat put a downer on what was a fabulous holiday for our family. I would have given 5 stars but it ended up being the negative topic of conversation for the rest of the night. Thanks Marie!

This was a last minute decision to have dinner here as our 5:30 ferry was cancelled. Asitturns out it was a blessing in disguise. They juggled a few things around and fitted the 7 of us in. The food was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meal.nnThe ambience is great. There was quite a lot of people there but we did feel hemmed at all. Service was prompt and friendly without being pushy. Food was out in good time and we made our 7:30 ferry with time to spare.

This is got to be one of the best places we have had dinner in a long time.nThe food was cooked to perfection and plenty of it.nSteak, prawns, squid, fries and salad was perfect.nCompliments to the chef and friendly staff for a great visit.nHighly recommend this place and a great view of the beautiful coastline.nThank you.

Really seems like the only place for dinner in the area. Excellent view especially at sunset. Book a table if you want to be sitting outside over the water but beware it may be cold. Tuesday is schnitzel night for $16 and the chicken one was much better than the beef.
