It's a nice park. Be Sivell when you're there. (dad joke)

Something not many people would know is that this park is named after Eric Sivell who was a senior public servant with Brisbane City Council and lived close to the park. He is credited with the development of the wood fired Bar-B-Q's which were a feature of Brisbane's public parks up untill the 2000's. They were made from recycled scrap metal which the Council already had so they were cheapto build, virtually indestructible and actually worked. Ironically, to my knowledge there was never one in the park which bears his name.

I walk my kangaroo here. Dogs are generally leashed and owners are thoughtful, communicative and careful around other animals. Great place for a picnic.

Small park with no park furniture .. open grassed area where children can kick balls around and run. Has prickles so children need to wear shoes.
